Earlier tonight, I met up with a friend of mine and his roommate. My friend's roommate was telling us about how he saw all of this go down on his way to work on his way to work this morning.

ALLEGED GUNMAN IN APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE IDENTIFIED

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

The San Francisco Medical Examiner has identified a man who apparently killed himself after allegedly shooting and killing a dentist in San Francisco this morning as 44-year-old Hailu Belachew Abje.

Abje, of San Francisco, allegedly confronted 56-year-old David Gong near Polk and Jackson streets around 7:52 a.m. Gong was walking to his dental office at 2000 Van Ness Ave., police reported.

Abje reportedly shot Gong and then walked to a blue Lincoln Continental parked on Jackson Street near Van Ness Avenue, according to police.
He was seen getting into the car and witnesses reported hearing one or more shots shortly thereafter.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released a motive in shooting but have reported that Abje was a former patient of Gong's.
