The Journey Back Home

So I guess this is the beginning of my trip back home. (These pictures are all from Sunday.) This is how it all starts - me staring at some silly sculpture while waiting at my gate in SFO at 6 in the morning. Actually, it started a lot earlier when I took the 4:30 shuttle bus to the airport. 

This banner was flying in O'Hare. Now... I think I need to comment on United service at this point. I just got into O'Hare from SFO flying United. I was pretty dead tired so I just totally crashed for the beginning of the trip. After I woke up though, the guy in front of me reclined his chair as far back as humanly possible. I had to eat my stupid $8 fruit cup and yogurt (yes... you have to BUY your meals on the plane from United these days...) like two inches in front of my face. So thanks for the leg room United. 

Dinosaur at O'Hare. 

"All are welcome. Come into the light..." For the flight from O'Hare to LGA, we got delayed because of cloudy conditions at LGA so we had to wait like 45 minutes before taking off. It was taking longer for the planes to land in LGA and they didn't want us circling around the airport for no reason wasting gas. Anyway, the pilot was nice enough to let us have a tour of the cockpit. 

That's the copilot on the left. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. That's not his hat in the middle though. That's the pilot's hat. The copilot's hat will come later. 

The picture on the left is a view of the runway out of the pilot's window. The other two pictures are just of the controls inside the cockpit. 

I think these are ceiling shots of the cockpit. I'm not really sure where that window was positioned in the cockpit. Maybe, it was in the ceiling. 

This is my favorite picture of the bunch. It's a picture of the copilot's hat and inside of his hat is pictures of his children.
